PNY Technologies (PNY) has launched HP v229g limited edition golden USB pen drive. This flash drive comes with 24-Karat gold plated casing. This pen drive has a glossy, mirror-like surface with an image of a snake and peanut engraved on it.
The drive features a USB plug at one end to protect it from water and dust. A lanyard hold at the end of the drive can be attached to a keychain, cellphone, purse, etc. The drive is designed without a cap.
It weighs 4.5 grams with a compact size. It has a storage capacity of up to 32GB. It features a USB 2.0 plug which is compatible with old as well as new ports. The drive comprises of plug- and-play functionality which allows the users to use it in Windows 2000, XP, Vista 7 and 8, and even on Mac OS 10.3. The minimum data transfer speed for reading is 14MB/s and 4MB/s for writing.
This drive will be available in limited edition and will come with a 2-year limited warranty. The pricing of the pen drive with a memory of 8GB will be $500; $810 for 16GB and $ 1475 for 32GB, respectively
