TCA to facilitate Taiwanese industry to explore IoT and Smart City opportunities in India

Taipei Computer Association (TCA)  is all set to explore business opportunities in India for Taiwan industry. Under the aegis of Bureau of Foreign Trade, TCA organized India Taiwan Cooperation Forum in Hyderabad, State of Telangana in India in association with Govt. of Telangana on the 28th of August 2015 wherein TCA signed an MoU with Dept. of IT, Electronics & Communications, Govt. of Telangana. Dr. Dennis Hu, Director General, Office of International Cooperation from TCA and Jayesh Ranjan, IAS., Secretary, Dept. of IT, Electronics & Communication from Govt. of Telangana signed on the MoU.
The MoU signing was witnessed by J Krishna Rao, Minister for Industries from Govt of Telangana and Dr. Guang-Jyh Lee, Executive Director, Economic Division of Taipei Economic & Cultural Center, New Delhi. The MoU is intended to bring more close business and trade between Taiwan and India in general and with Telangana in particular. Recent programmes announced by India Government on Smart City opens up plenty of opportunities for Taiwan companies apart from India’s vast domestic market and Make in India policy incentives.
The Minister as well as the Secretary – IT delivered keynote speech at the Forum. During their speech they gave special emphasis of various Policy initiatives rolled out by the Govt. of Telangana to welcome and encourage Taiwanese business, trade and investment to the state.
As part of the session Jawed Iqbal, Branch Head of AP & Telangana from Asus; Mohit Bansal, Sr. Manager, Public Policy from Amazon India and Mr. Darren Chen, Sales Manager from Advantech presented Industry perspectives.
The event was well attended by more than 150 senior industry leaders and key Government Officials from the Govt. of Telangana.
